Welcome to my small spot in the universe.
Through pictures and a few words, I hope to communicate to others the blessings we receive, even in the smallest every day things around us.

A Squirrel Saga

One of my gourds had a bad place in it, so I decided to use it as a temporary feeder.
It still had gourd seed in it,  I finished filling it with bird seed,
and hung it outside in a tree.
Thinking the the birds could eat it all.
Well...A few birds came around, but guess who was the main eater??
Right!
I saw two squirrels up there, one was on the ground,
The other up in the tree.
He could not reach the gourd, so he shook the limb to make the seed fall out!
Those squirrels are smart!
I believe that underneath all that fur beats the heart of a rocket scientist!

This is what it looks like today..
somehow they got it down, and ate it all..even most of the gourd.

There are dramas that play out every day, even in the winter!

Genesis 8:22

While the earth remaineth, seedtime and HARVEST, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

Wishing you a day filled with sunshine...
and love!
Love,
Shirley

  1. Yep! Squirrels are way too smart, no matter where you put a bird feeder they will figure out some way to rob it..
