Welcome to my small spot in the universe.
Through pictures and a few words, I hope to communicate to others the blessings we receive, even in the smallest every day things around us.
God is good!

Mother's Day

Mother's Day
I am writing today in honor and in loving memory of my Mom.
Mama grew up and lived her life in the mountains of North Georgia,
in an isolated area..far from the nearest town.
I am sure there were people who thought we were poor,
but not so...Not while Mama was around!
She worked hard..mountain ladies had to,
but she always had a smile and a kind word to everybody she came in contact with.
There was always something to eat on the stove in her kitchen,
and everyone who came to our house ate before they left.
And felt welcome to do so.
In the years after we all grew up and moved away, and came back home to
visit, when you rounded the last curve in the road, you could see the old house nestled in the little valley..there was always a light in the window.
When I saw the light,I knew I was home.
The old house is gone..I won't see that light in this world any more,
But when I step into Heaven, I will look for Mama's light, and when I see it I'll know I am home!

A Rose from my own sweet daughter.
I am blessed to have 2 children,
3 Grandchildren,
3 Great Grandchildren.
Thank the Lord for them all!

Happy Mother's Day wonderful ladies!
Love,
Shirley
