These two huge trees have stood in my front yard for many years, providing shade for us,
and shelter for the birds and squirrels.
Due to some rot on the trunks, and dead limbs , they need to be taken down.
A bad storm could cause them to fall on the house..or on someone else's house.
I do not want that ...but I hate to see them go.
It will be a sad day for me when it happens.

That is so sad. We almost lost an oak tree, but stopped the city in time :)

Our first linky party is on, please join us if you can. Have a great weekend!
Trees are markers in our life, that's why I love to paint them! Good you took a pic of these 2 now!
ReplyDeleteLove these shot, the tree look beautiful! Happy Skywatching!
ReplyDeleteThey have seen their days, but as you said, they still stand majestic and proud.
ReplyDeleteI hate to see trees cut down.
ReplyDeleteThere is a tree near our house that is leaning a little sideways. I know it could fall on the house, but I am resisting having it cut.
My sympathy for your loss of these beautiful trees.

We lost the street trees outside of our last house - they were there when I left for work and gone when I came back - it was like arriving at a new house. I dod not like it!

Sad when big, mature trees have to be taken down. Oh, the stories they could tell!!
