Little Dress


In the back of my closet, I found this little dress that my daughter wore on her first day of school.
1974!
She was so happy to be going to school.
 
It tied in a big bow in the back.
At that time, little girls wore dresses more than they do today.
I made this dress, and I remember sitting and sewing it.
Life has changed a lot since 1974, still, sometimes it seems like yesterday.
I am glad I kept this little dress...
...the memories are sweet.

    That is so special that you kept your daughter's dress. I still remember the dresses the girls wore the first day of school, but I didn't keep them. Now, I wish I did. What a cute dress and sweet memories for you, Shirley.
