Welcome to my small spot in the universe.
Through pictures and a few words, I hope to communicate to others the blessings we receive, even in the smallest every day things around us.
God is good!

Twigs and Weeds

Today has been somewhat overcast, and I have been home bound all day,
feeling  gloomy.
To cheer myself up,
I went outside and gathered a few twigs and weeds, and made  flowerpots,
using two of my handmade roses and Mama's old Blue Ball jars.

If you look in the right places,
There is always something to photograph.
And I do feel much cheered!
Wishing you a great day, and many blessings.
Love,
Shirley

Skywatch

This picture was taken by my Grandson and his Fiancee in our beautiful N.C mountains.
It is not really a sky picture, but you can see the reflection of the sky in the water.
It is such a beautiful scene, I wanted to show it.

Old Things

I have actually been trying to get rid of some "stuff' that I have accumulated.
And that is hard for a natural-born "pack-rat"!
I found this old hand painted  (by me) album, from several years ago...hadn't looked at it in a long time.
I used to collect  inspirational sayings..anything that I liked, or made me happy.
Here are a couple I am showing...the book is full of them.

I don't know if I will ever get everything nice and neat,
but I am enjoying seeing these old friends once more.
Have a great day, and many blessings on you, wherever you may be.
Love,
Shirley

2013

These flowers are from last summer. They look cheerful..
Brightens up a cold, cloudy night!
I pray that each one has a happy and peaceful New Year.
The years are passing so quickly!

Shirley

It is my favorite!

Wishing everyone a happy, peaceful day.
