Welcome to my small spot in the universe.
Through pictures and a few words, I hope to communicate to others the blessings we receive, even in the smallest every day things around us.
God is good!

Cloud Picture
This cloud looks kind of like a man's profile
Never noticed that before!
There are wonders everywhere...especially in the Heavens.

New Wreath
I made myself a new wreath.
It is hanging on the front door.
Funny...you never notice all the background reflections when taking a picture.
Have a great day!

Reflections...On Life
My husband recently had to spend time in a rehabilitation facility.
It is also a nursing home..a very nice one.
Our church visits nursing homes regularly, so I am familiar with them.
But,
while he was there, I started looking around at the different residents.
And I thought," every one of these people have a story to tell."
At one time they were young, and healthy and strong, with dreams and plans for a different life than they have now.
Old age and ill health has brought such a change in their lives.
There was one gentleman who came three times every day to stay with his wife while she was eating her meals. When he had to leave, she would follow him to the door in her wheelchair.
Another sweet man and his wife were both there...hoping to be put in a room together.
Some never have a visitor.
None of us know what the future holds...let's pray for compassion for the ones who can't help themselves.
Those of us who are able can still spread a bit of the Love of God.
And God's Love can reach down, even in old age and sickness, and heal the heart... and touch a soul.
Love and Blessings,
Shirley

Winding Down
Summer is almost over...where did the time go?
I am a summertime person, but I love late summer and autumn.
Seems there is a peaceful quality in the air.
And we all can use some peace!
There is so much unrest in the world today that it is easy to get caught up in it,
and let worry take over.
But God is still in control.
Life goes on, and life is good!
Have a blessed day.
Love,
Shirley

Purple
There is something heart warming about the color purple.
This pretty vase was sitting in a window in our church.
Treasures are everywhere..you just have to look...with the heart!
Blessings on everybody.
Love,
Shirley
