Angel

Some days are very stressful.

Yesterday was one of those days for me.

 When I came home, I found this beautiful angel waiting.

From my friend Debbie...who is one of the most thoughtful people I know.

I love this angel.

She glows and changes colors.

The blue is my favorite.

I turned the lights off and let her shine.

What a sweet gift, and what a blessing!
Shine on!

My Old Ball Jar

People are using Mason jars for all kinds of crafts these days.
In years past, we had a huge garden, and I canned lots of vegetables.
I remember my Mom canning all during the summer months in our old farmhouse kitchen.
For many years she used a wood stove,until electricity came to our part of the mountains...and made life a bit easier.
This old jar was one of hers.

It is old..according to the signature.
 It was made between 1923 and 1933.
The glass is very thick and has a pinkish hue.
You can see"bubbles" in the glass.
I have a few old things from home that I will keep forever.
This old jar will stay with me.

This one came from the thrift store.
It is unusual, I just liked it.

I will use it for something.

Bare Branches

When I first saw this tree...from a distance...I thought it was full of birds.

A closer look..it was just dead leaves and debris!

I don't know why I like this picture...but I do.

Maybe the patterns the limbs make against the blue sky...

Mason jars, once mostly used for canning,

are being used in all kinds of creative ways.

I have lots of old jars...so....
I have been painting flowers and birds on a few.
Use what you have...
Recycling is a good thing!
