The Only Butterfly

Butterflies usually flit around the yard all summer.

This is the only one I saw this year..or at least the only one  close enough for a picture.

He is so beautiful!

The Church By The Side Of The Road

Calvary Baptist Church, Mt Holly, N.C.
It looks like it belongs on a postcard... was once considered for a Hallmark movie.
I have been visiting here for the last few months...filling in for the regular church musician,while she recovers from surgery to her wrist.
I have been made to feel welcome, and at home.
A good visit!

There are many churches in our area,large and small.
Some of them we call mega churches, with thousands of people attending,
and
with many activities for everyone... and that is good.
There are many small churches also.
 Sitting quietly by the side of the road,
 speaking to the heart of those who come this way.
Saying, "Come On In."

This minister works a full time job.
 And still attends to the needs of his Church family.
 It might seem that rewards are few for the ones ministering to the small churches.
Perhaps they are, but someday the Lord Himself will reward those who serve Him.
And...
The reward will be great!
  Worth all that went before.

And the Spirit and the Bride say,Come.
And let him that heareth say, Come.
And let him that is athirst come.
And
whosoever will,
 let him take of the water of life freely.

Myrtle Tree

I planted this crepe myrtle in my yard 42  years ago.

It was a sprout from my husband's Mother's yard.

It has bloomed faithfully every summer...this summer was no exception.

Blooming time is over now..this will be the last picture of the year.

Clouds

Seems as though in today's world,no matter how beautiful the blue skies and the silvery clouds,

There is always a dark cloud nearby.

One day there will be no more dark clouds.

There will be sunshine and blue skies!

And the clouds will be fluffy and white.

Autumn..Once More

My Roses

I make these roses to take to nursing homes.

There really is a lot of work involved,and sometimes it takes awhile to get enough made.

But it is worth the effort, and makes my life better.

Yellow Monday

The past week has been very busy and somewhat stressful.

We have been doing some remodeling  and downsizing clutter.

And that is harder than you might think!
