We have two huge oak trees in the front yard. Some time ago we had the
limbs trimmed back, and for awhile they looked quite bare.
But they are growing beautifully again..and even new sprouts on the trees.
There is something inside the tree that keeps it coming back, even with the pruning.
As Christians, we may find ourselves in a "bare" place..being "pruned" so to say.
But the Love of God within will sustain us through the bad times, and bloom out better than before when the pruning is done.
He is a great God!

Beautiful post, Shirley.
ReplyDeleteHave a happy Sunday.
The resilience of trees and the positive response to pruning is good to think about. As Christians we are always being refined. Thank-you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend.

Thanks for this reminder, Shirley, that even when we don't see the blooms, God is still working on us to produce fruit. I'm in a time of being pruned myself, so this encourages me.
ReplyDeleteSo Very, Very True...
ReplyDeleteIt's amazing what pruning can do for trees, other plants, and even people. Thank you for this encouraging post.
