Hi Shirley, This was one of my grandmother's favorite hymns. It was a big "robust" for her, bless her heart. She was a lovely, genteel, lady born in the late 1890's and always, always a lady to the core. She never sang it outright, but oh boy did she smile when the heard it sung. I have a feeling, now in Heaven, she is going around singing loudly and in much joy. What blessed memories your lovely post has brought back to me today. Thank you for celebrating my son's birthday with me. Your lovely comment deeply touched me. Thank you my friend. I am blessed to have met you through our blogs.
Thank you for the nice comment. This is a favorite of mine also .Takes me back to the mountain churches of my younger days.We still sing it in my church today.. some things never grow old!
