Summer Flowers

Due to knee problems, I couldn't work outside much this year.

I planted my flowers on the porch in containers.

They did well!

Daisies for Mom

 In memory of my Mom.

She loved daisies and any white flower.

 A  sweet, kind lady of the Blue Ridge mountains, she loved God, her family, and her home.

My memories of her are so precious to my heart.

I am thankful to God for my Mom and Dad, brothers and sisters, and my mountain heritage.

Winter Beauty

Blessing Jar

Decorative painting is the best hobby I have ever had.

 It blesses my soul.

When life gets hard, it seems I can pick up my brush, and for a short while,

 go to Another Place.

Where things are so much better!

This is an old Ball canning jar., with pink roses.

It has a slot in the lid to write down blessings when they occur, and one day when we are feeling low, get them out and read them again.

And realize that God never leaves us alone.

Wishing for all a blessed day...filled with sunshine, blessings, and beautiful roses!

Bluebird

The bluebirds are here all year. 

I see them sitting on the wires in front of the house all the time.

There is a saying that bluebirds signify happiness.

Real happiness seems to be in short supply these days.

  When these beautiful birds visit my yard, it always  

lifts my spirit.

Every good thing comes from God.

Thank the Lord for the bluebirds!

Seasons Of Love

After a long sickness, my husband passed in June of 2021.

We married as young teenagers...and despite all odds...it lasted 66 years.

I wrote this poem for him.

Through many heartaches and many joys..Love was constant.

Many power outages.

Christmas Snowmen

My husband passed in June of this year.I knew his time was near and he was ready to go, but death is never easy and though we know it is coming, we are never really ready. 

So life has been sad.

Recently I decided to devote more time to artwork and things of the spirit.

It was a good decision.

The sadness is still there, and most likely will always be there, but the Lord can speak to the soul in many different ways.

He knows exactly what we need.

These little birdhouses were fun, and everybody liked them.

I loved creating my little snowmen!

And my sad spirits were lifted for a time.

God is on His Throne and all is well.
